We are now looking for a Graphic Designer to join our global creative team. In this role, you will report to the Creative Director and Sr. Art Director.

You will execute and help ideate and develop digital and print creative content for DW’s websites, online channels, DW stores and wholesale stores.

WHAT YOU’LL BE UP TO

  • Execute and design digital content for DWs website and E-Marketplaces; translate creative into a digital environment that ensures a cohesive brand image along with the Art director.
  • Execute print content for DW stores and other MBO channels.
  • Participate in new idea sessions with Art Director, Copywriter, Social Content Manager and CD and the possible development and execution of those ideas (i.e.: product launches, shopping experiences, marketing campaigns, digital content etc.)

WHO YOU ARE

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field
  • BFA / BA in Design, Digital Design, Fine Art or related field
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and digital design is a must
  • Proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat
  • An understanding of print quality and material.
  • Ability to conceptualize design solutions within guidelines and to think outside the box
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English
  • Ability to prioritize (quickly and efficiently) with tight deadlines and follow through
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Graphic Design / Social Media Coordinator

Scholars International Group, an education management company, is seeking a Graphic Design / Social Media Coordinator to support the marketing initiatives of the various schools in its portfolio. This is a great opportunity for someone who believes in design thinking and loves to work with people.

Graphic & visual designer

We are looking for a Junior Designer to create engaging designs according to requirements, which includes internal pitch decks, external social campaigns and collateral for marketing campaigns for clients. You will work under the supervision of the Studio Director to produce quality work.

In this role, you should be highly creative and have a sharp eye for visual detail. If you are passionate about design and are eager to learn more through various projects, we’d like to meet you.

You goal will be to create impactful designs that capture and sell our company & clients vision.

Responsibilities

  • Understand project requirements and concepts
  • Use various techniques to create drafts, models and prototypes
  • Produce final design solutions (e.g. logos, banners, interfaces)
  • Pitch creative ideas that enhance projects
  • Assist with development of creative presentations for clients
  • Collaborate with team members to launch designs
  • Take on special design tasks to support multiple projects (e.g. color correction)
  • Use feedback from leaders to improve work

Requirements

  • Up to three years of experience as a Junior Designer
  • Comfortable in a multi-lingual environment (Arabic layout experience and language preferred)
  • Experience with design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) and graphics editing tools.
  • Familiarity with design techniques (e.g. prototyping)
  • Familiarity with layout and operation of presentation software (particularly Keynote)
  • Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts)

Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is responsible for securing that the graphic standards that are implemented in the IKEA store are in line with the IKEA manuals.

Your assignment

Operational

  • Install IKEA Trade Name & Word mark are probably projected and strictly observed as set out in the IKEA Trade Mark Manual and Company Policy document.
  • Plan and execute a high level of Graphic solutions by communicating IKEA product features and solutions in all in-store areas.
  • Daily and weekly checks made on implementation and application of graphic displays to ensure consist standards and translations are correct (in line with IKEA visual identity. IKEA Trademark and IKEA pricing as described in the IKEA Manual).
  • Work with Sales and in store logistics by following the work brief process in planning and implementing graphic solutions to support the stores set sales targets and activity calendar.
  • Implement graphic communication (notice board, usage of IKEA furnishing in Offices, signage & Posters) to all sales support areas and non-customers areas in order to maintain the store in accordance to IKEA standards, so that the perception of visitors to those areas is as strong as in the store

Commercial

  • Plan and execute any changes to graphic solutions as directed from first GD within the store so that they are in keeping with the store’s current commercial calendar and activities.
  • Develop a deep understanding and knowledge of Graphic Com-In related to IKEA manuals, proven ideas and guidelines (continual usages of toolbox for updates from IKEA Sweden) as set out by IKEA System B.V. in order to improve own skill base and competence (use yearly improvement plan set by Com-In Manager)
  • Obtain a knowledge of our competitor’s activities, the local market and our customers (communication, marketing adverts and trends in graphic materials) in order to develop awareness of Ikea Customers with the store.

About you

  • Degree / Diploma in Fine Arts, Interior Design or Architecture
  • 3 – 5 years experience as a Graphic Designer, ideally in retail industry
  • 5 years’ relevant experience within the Communication & Interior Design department in one or more IKEA stores
  • Must have skills in using sign making equipment and preferably experience in working with MAC graphic softwares such as Illustrator and InDesign
